Access to online registration is no longer available, we encourage you to register onsite for the Symposium at the registration desk which will be located in the Percy Beams Bar located on level 2 of the Members’ stand of the MCG. You can access this level via Gate 2. The desk will be open on Monday 22nd June from 07:30am. To assist with a smooth registration onsite, please print the registration form, fill in your details and bring with you to the register at the Symposium.

  • Faxed registration forms will only be processed/confirmed if credit card details are included on the form.
  • Registrations forms sent by post must be accompanied with full payment in order for your registration to be processed/confirmed.
  • Cheque payments will only be accepted up until 22 May 2009. After this date, all registration requests must be submitted with credit card details.

*Students, carers and youth registrations - to be eligible, youth are considered to be 25 years old or younger.

Payment of Fees
NOTE: Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received.

Within Australia

Payment can be made by cheque or credit card. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to Symposium by The Meeting Planners. Cheques should be made payable to “The Meeting Planners/Resilient Families Symposium 2009”. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque.

International
Payments from overseas must be made by credit card or bank cheque in Australian Dollars only, drawn on an Australian Bank and be made payable to “The Meeting Planners/Resilient Families Symposium 2009”. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Fees will not be accepted by direct transfer.

Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.
You will not receive any further publications before the Symposium. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Symposium.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Symposium Managers.

Registration Fees

  • On or before 22 May 2009, cancellation will incur an A$100.00 cancellation fee
  • After 22 May 2009 there will be no refund

Social
  • Payments are non-refundable from 22 May 2009

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Symposium and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Symposium, or through cancellation of the Symposium, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Symposium managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

Privacy
Australia operates under the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.  The Symposium Managers comply with such legislation which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information.  Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of the Symposium will be only used for the purposes of planning and conduct of the Symposium, may also be provided to organisers of future events or used to provide you with information of other relevant events.  It is also usual to produce a ‘Delegate List’ of attendees at the Symposium and to include the individual’s details in such a list.   Consent for publication of the individual’s information may be withheld when completing the Registration Form for the Symposium. Individuals are also entitled to access the information held by written application to the Symposium Managers.
